SteelSeries Arctis 7 Wireless Gaming Headset

Ultra Comfortable

The SteelSeries Arctis 7 Wireless Gaming Headset is made using only the most comfortable materials that can be found, sourced from a variety of different industries that are known for comfort. For instance, the suspension band on this gaming headset is made from the same materials that ski goggles are made from. This headset contours perfectly along my face and around my entire head, distributing the weight easily so that I am not feeling it dig into any part of me at all. It really does a great job of taking away all pressure points that lead a gaming headset to get uncomfortable after a long period of using them while gaming. It also features these exclusive AirWeave Ear Cushions that are made from athletic style materials. This allows the cushions to eliminate any sort of heat that normally is generated when I wear headsets for a long period of time. It also reduces moisture to keep me dry and comfortable, no matter how long I play. These are so light and comfortable that I honestly forget that I am wearing them half of the time, and that is something that never happens with gaming headphones.

Convenient Microphone

The SteelSeries Arctis 7 Wireless Gaming Headset comes with what they call the ClearCast microphone. This microphone provides me with crystal clear vocal clarity so that my teammates never miss a cue and never have to ask me to repeat what I said. It helps that this headset also features noise cancelation technology which works to eliminate any background noise like loud music, TV or even my roommates carrying on a conversation. This also helps them to hear me better but also makes it so those on my team don’t get annoyed and distracted by the excessive noise and either make me turn off my mic completely, making us less efficient as a team, or kick me for spamming the server with noise. The microphone on the Arctis 7 is also retractable. When I am done using it and want to store it safely or am about to head out to go to a LAN party, all I have to do is retract the ClearCast microphone into the ear cuff. With this feature, I never have to worry about it accidentally snapping off of the rest of the headset while I am in transit so I can just throw it in a bag and go. TheTechInsider also found the headset very convenient and included it on their list.

Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound

The sound quality of the SteelSeries Arctis 7 Gaming Headset is amazing. Super immersive, this gaming headset uses DTS Headphone X Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound on Windows 7. With this sort of sound, I am able to hear every single move that my teammates and my opponents make, allowing me to get a competitive edge. It offers a completely dimensional sound that helps me pinpoint from which direction my opponents are coming from so that I am never caught off guard. The Arctis 7 Wireless Gaming Headset also features on-ear audio controls that allow me to quickly reach up and mute my microphone or adjust the volume with one hand. This is a very convenient feature to have. This means I don’t have to ALT+TAB and cover up my game screen with an overlay just to adjust the volume.

Rechargeable Battery

The SteelSeries Arctis 7 Wireless Gaming Headset comes with a long-lasting battery which is great for marathon gaming without fear that the battery is going to suddenly die on me. This battery is rechargeable, and on a full charge, I can play for an impressive 15 hours of continuous use wirelessly. This is incredible when it comes to long marathons or LAN parties where pausing to recharge the battery can cost me the game. I don’t worry about losing a match due to unexpected battery death any more thanks to the SteelSeries Arctis 7.

Lag-Free Wireless Audio

I felt that it was worth mentioning that the reason that the Arctis 7 Gaming Headset does not lag is that it uses a number of different frequencies. When it detects an interruption on one frequency, it hops to a different one to ensure seamless gameplay, no matter what might try to corrupt it. Whatever happens on my screen is directly translated to my headphones, and whatever I speak into the ClearCast microphone immediately translates to my game thanks to the SteelSeries Arctis 7.
